Today Merrick turned 6 months old. She weighs 14 1/2 lbs and is now 25 3/4 inches long. Her check-up today went well, no more shots for another 6 months. She is loving her classroom, they do so many cool things with her. Work is crazy as every summer is...I think we both get busier every year..can't wait till the snow flies again!

Real busy trying to catch up, started landscaping, really hot out here. I'm missing winter already.

Grandma Cherie came up for her birthday (and mine) to see Merrick. She brought her a new swimsuit that she found in California. Super cute.

Where did the videos go? I can't figure it out, Vimeo is down, so all of our videos are down from the blog. Not a whole lot of time to check into it, I hope it works itself out.
Hopefully pictures will do for a while. Back to work this morning, landscaping is on hold for a couple of days, it has been snowing since we got back. We went out for a "date" last night, out to the movies, it was really fun. Grandpa and Grandpa Neerhof came up for a short visit, so we went for a matinee. Merrick is off to her first full day at the Carriage house, I know I'll miss her being around.

Made it..we flew through every storm out there, I really do't want to re-live that anytime soon. Here are a couple more shots, Aunt Julie took these, my cameras are in my bag that missed my plane, hopefully we get that back tomorrow. Merrick went right to bed, now we have to wait and see how long she stays down. Pretty beat...it was nice to be home though. (Snowing here!)

Today we are off to Leland and the cottage. Merrick is all of the sudden the hungriest baby on Earth. Nothing is holding her overnight but I am trying everything. Work duties are piling up, I have been fielding calls from here..the snow must be melting.

Grandma K hasn't seen Merrick since she was 2 weeks old and on oxygen, what a difference a few months makes! Jaja (her husband) has never met her. She has won over another family member with all of her charms. These pictures are from her party at Great Aunt Reenies, I was so busy running around, these were about all the photos that I got. All of the kids took over, they pushed Merrick around the yard for hours. The adorable little blonde is my Cousin Shelleys daughter, Caroline. I hope Merrick ends up just like her. We had an amazing time, we are both pretty tired! I love Colorado so much, but I miss my family, I miss the lakes, and I miss my hometown.

We met more cousins today! This is Bethany and Faith. The party with the Riley's was a great time too, Merrick hasn't seen this much action in her life, but she loves it. Hope everyone is well, back to Colorado on Saturday..it always seems like a long visit until you get home. I'm excited to see Jason and the pups, but dreading the long days of work ahead, and Merrick doing full days at the daycare! By the way, in case anyone wants to feel sorry for me, I have been sick this whole time out here, tonsillitis...yes i still have them, anytime I swallow food it feels like I am swallowing a razor blade. Dr.Judy diagnosed me and set me up with meds, finally feeling better today. We are off to the pool tonight with more cousins and Grandma K. More pictures to come.

WE MADE IT!

Not going to even speak about the first leg of our trip, I don't think Merrick wants to either. A LONG day of travel but we are finally here. So far she has seen 2 sets of Grandparents, an Aunt and an Uncle, and 2 of her sweet cousins. Tomorrow it is off to a BBQ at Great Aunt Reenies house with a whole slew of Rileys. Can't wait to show her off!! Brady and Shae have been fighting over who gets to hold and push her around. She is doing great, a lot of action, but adjusting well. She does miss her Daddy and doggies at home though. (ME TOO!!) Hope to keep posting...

We are loading up the blog before we head off to Michigan, if I find time I might update it from there, but if I don't, hopefully all these pictures will hold everyone over. Merrick started this new face thing below, Jason thought something was wrong with her at first. It is like an old man with no teeth!

Merrick got her first mountain pass today. Get ready, it is on. I can't wait for her to say "Lets see it Mom." It will be so fun to teach this girl to ride.

A friend of mine has a baby-blog, I started one because I saw how cool hers was...it is getting out of hand. I saw she had customized her template, so much cooler than the stock ones that they provide for you. I had to have one too. I have spent the last three days searching for cool templates to hijack. I can't believe how long it took me to figure out how to do it. I have hacked it to pieces, getting rid of items that I don't like, adding little things here and there. The age ticker, yeah I copied that too. Any video that ends up on my blog, she taught me how to do it. You know who you are, thanks for the awesome ideas, I promise to find the next clever item all on my own. To any of my family or pals who have followed suit on this blogging revolution, I wasn't the cool one to start it. Have fun!

Merrick rolled from her back to her tummy today. We are waiting to see if she will do it again. She just realized how fun being on her tummy is, this is the first time she has pushed up with her arms and stayed there. She is a strong one.

O.k, second picture down, this was when I told Merrick that these Easter bunnies sat in the post office, all by themselves, all weekend. She couldn't believe I left them there...so now all the bunnies are getting love.

Our friends from Germany gave Merrick her first Easter bunny. She LOVES stuffed animals! She even posed him herself! Have a great Easter everyone! We have an Easter outfit coming up, so check us out Sunday.

Friday night she pretty much started rolling over. She can go from her tummy to her back in an instant. From her back to tummy, she likes to stay on her side, I know she can go all the way, she just doesn't want to. Enjoy the pictures!
