Merrick learned to climb up onto the couch by herself yesterday. That used to be the safe zone for the dogs. Rikta didn't seem to mind being used as a cushion. They sat like this for over 20 minutes!

Flashdance...

Dancing is the new thing. Not sure where she found her moves, but shes got them. She trys a new word everyday, I know most of her books by heart we read them so much. She is trying to dress herself now, and runs as fast as she can away from me when I try to do it for her. A little independent. (I know where that came from.)

Happy Valentines Day

I wanted to share the Valentine Merrick made for us at school yesterday. She even used glue.

Sorry it has been so long...

We had an awesome weekend with Merrick. It is like she grew up overnight. It stopped snowing a bit so we got caught up on all of our shoveling, and actually got to spend a whole weekend together. We are so blessed to have this little angel in our lives. She blows us away everyday.

We are smiling again!

Yea!! We are all finally back to normal, last night Merrick was back to her old self. What an awful week for her. So glad to have the happy Mare Bear back! (Even baths didn't cheer her up, we didn't see a smile for 6 days!)

I got a new camera, and it is really cool, but the peanut has been really sick. No one wants to see pictures of a sick baby, I can't wait until she is back to her old self again. It has been a few heartbreaking days for the two of us. I can't believe how blessed you are to have a healthy kid. You don't realize that until they are hurting in some way. We love winter, but cold season is no fun. We are rounding the corner now, I will have a photo up as soon as she cracks that beautiful smile!

Moving up!

We found out today that big girl Merrick is moving up to the next room at daycare! We are all really excited for her to be reunited with her best pal, Reid, and to have a change of scenery and activities. She is CRUISING and ready for the change. Wish us luck on the transition. The big day is February 4th.

Snow fun

I couldn't resist putting Merrick on her skis. You all knew as soon as she could walk I would try it! Her feet need to grow a size, she slid on them, then she got mad at me, so that was the end of that adventure. We had a blast though. Did some sledding, laughed at the dogs. The latest thing is pointing to everything and saying "This?"

So yesterday we took a long, frigid walk to town. We showed Jason how much Merrick likes the play area at the toy store, and she loves the backpack, ecspecially if Dad is the one packing her. (Must be the birds eye view.) Later in the evening, right before bed, Merrick insisted on putting her red shoes on. We were already wearing p.j.s with the feet on them. So, we took off the sleeper, and put on the shoes. She pranced all over the place. I have to say, the Grandma K shoe fetish may have slipped into the genes somewhere because we all know it didn't come from me. (Her small feet too!)

We have lots of teeth...3 molars. Still working on camera shopping.

Its go time...

Last night Jay and I got our first taste of Merricks new found energy level. She perfected her walking skills last night and couldn't walk to enough places. No need to have an object to pull up on, we are just pushing up from the floor. The video below was probably her last fall, she was on it the rest of the night. Hoping to get her out skiing in the spring!

I'm back in business!

Old camera, making it work so we can get some pictures of the peanut up. She is under the weather this weekend, but she is finding some happy moments. She likes to brush her teeth, and is full of spontaneous giggles.

The camera got lost...

I'm going to try to get one today and giving up on internet shipping for now. Our Target will probably still be sold out on everything. You will know if there are new pics though!

A new camera is on the way...I'll post lots of pictures as soon as I get it. Merrick is walking really well, she hasn't entirely lost the crab crawl but she is working on it.

I'm soooooo big, I'm still sooooo cute.

Last night Merrick walked all the way across the room to me, I will get it on video, I promise! She cut her first molar, and is working on her words. Hoping it warms up here so we can take her outside!

Merrick and I had a Christmas card photo session last week, I had to share one of them. She is so cute I can't stand it.

All about noses...

Merrick all of the sudden is obsessed with pointing at noses, pointing at pictures, she even saw this Rudolf on T.V. and pointed at him. (My all time fave for Christmas programs.) Anyway, this guys nose lights up and even makes the sounds, she is all about it. She took steps too, I was so excited I scared her. So far we are up to three, can't wait to get her on skis!

Finally some snow!

We got some really good snow over the weekend so we took the peanut out for some fun. It was too deep on the hill for the sled to move, so we hit the street. Merrick is just like her Mom, she loves to go fast! She wouldn't crack a smile until she got moving!

Saturday fun

Lots of new faces, not sure where they come from but they sure are funny. Grandma Cherie came up for the morning and Jay and I hit the slopes. They had lots of fun while we were gone!
