Splash waterpark

The Splash in Golden is the bomb. Perfect water park for the little ones. We went twice last week, and the day after the last visit Merrick ended up in the emergency room with Croup, which makes us wonder if we will ever let her in a pool again, but it was fun while it lasted. They even let you take minis on the big slide!

Waiting for the King

Out of no where Merrick made Jay and I put blankets around our shoulders and get dressed for the King. NO idea what she was talking about, but we even had to go outside like this. She was only wearing a blanket and a diaper, her old ripped/taped crown. We got out to the street, some guy is taking a walk and she says "There is the king."

4th of July

Grandparents, parade, baby Spruce tree, Clydesdales, lunch, nap, Moose visit, fireworks. Awesome.

The Clydesdales are in town for a week, so on the way to school, we stopped to see them, lucky us, they were going on walks so Merrick got to get up close and pet one. We see them walking everyday on the way to school, awesome! They will be in the parade tomorrow, Jay and I will miss it since we are working, but hoping Grandparents Neerhof will get a picture of them all hitched up!

Vail pirate ship mission

We rode Vail this season, spotted the pirate ship, and made a mental note to bring Merrick over there this summer. Jay remembered it yesterday, and we went for it this morning. So cool. Beat the rain, hit our favorite restaurant in the parking garage, La Cantina, mission accomplished.

Anniversary

Today is our 8 year wedding anniversary. It is a pretty emotional one. Sometimes I feel like I am talking to a ghost, I can't believe that Jason is still here with us. Its not a dream, he is here. Still a wonderful Dad, still an amazing husband, son, brother and friend.

May rain

I haven't seen it rain in early May since the first year I moved out here. It was definately cold, and of course we woke to snow this morning, but Merrick loved it yesterday. Her first real experience playing in it! How crazy is that? Poor kid only sees snow...not that its a bad thing.
