Kind of sad, she is getting so tall, I miss seeing the tiny skier rip by.

Merrick scored two goals, and even ran back to play goalie. Grandma Cherie drove up early for the game and got to see her in action. So much fun!

The Black Flames

First game today, Merrick scored 2 goals, then she got mad that she didn't score anymore, and then she laid down on the field. Then she cried, then she wouldn't do anything, it was awesome. The kids named themselves The Black Flames. Excited for the next game!

Mini-dive

Happy 10th birthday Rikta!

If you know me, my dogs are like kids, so I updated the blog just for Rikta. Although she lived in Circe's shadow for ten years, it took me losing Circe, to realize what a great dog Rikta is. Kid proof 100%, and my little girls very best friend. She is going to be the dog she tells her first boyfriend about, and if I had to put money on it, her first dog on her own will be a pitbull.

We spent the day working on OUR house, must mean we are catching up! Merrick planted the basket for our "yard bike", Jay ripped down the ugly dog fence, and I built rock walls around my flowerbeds. Great day!

Soccer camp day one

Merrick started a 4-day Soccer camp this week. Papa and Grandma Jo were on the last day of their visit, and they got to catch the first day. I never got to see Jason play in a game, but I have seen pictures, and all I see is him when she is out there. Awesome, and she loves it!!

She scores!

Merrick scored her first goal today at Soccer camp. She even has her celebration down. Only two more days, but I have a feeling we will do another camp this Summer. This is her and her friend Izzy. It was awesome, there was a Dad there yelling at his kid (boy), over-the-top soccer Dad, and Merrick got the ball and scored, and he was silent.

First dance recital

Merrick and her dance class were pirates, we had our recital on Mothers day. These were from dress rehearsal, they don't let you take pictures during the show. She did really well, and for the show her "R" was upside down, so cute! Dad got her a rose. :)

New bed by Dad

Last week another foot of snow arrived so Jay made the garage a workshop for the weekend. He had some beetle kill pine and Wyoming snow fence left from a job that was set to be trash, so he made Merrick a bed. We helped stain it, I think it turned out great!

A coffee table was made, a few other things done at the house, the snow in May is a drag, but it got us to get a few things done around here! (More snow on the way.)

A-Basin

Merrick wanted to keep skiing, so we have been over to the Basin a couple of times. Girls day today, Rikta even got to go and enjoyed the sun and leftover applesauce.

DISCLAIMER: I did not teach the young one to jump, she figured it out all on her own. Being prone to new anxiety attacks, I am constantly telling her and teaching her to slow down. It was bound to happen. For all the Grandparents out there, don't worry, we are all going to have to just enjoy the ride, because this girl is going to give us all one.
